The Children's Museum of the Shoals is pleased to offer a variety of school programs and resources that enrich the students' cultural and social education. Each visit is unique and participatory. Children's interpretation and observation skills will be strengthened through dialogue and exhibit activities. We offer 2 different field trip choices:
The Adventures of Lewis and Clark Rent a travelling trunk from the museum that contains lesson plans and activities on Lewis and Clark's encounters with Native Americans, the geography of the landscape, etc. This travelling trunk is an integration of science and social studies with objectives that meet the Alabama Course of Study. The cost of the trunk is $20.00 for a three week rental period. Please contact the museum to reserve the trunk. A special "Thank You" to Legacy, Partners in Environmental Education in providing us with a grant for the Environmental Education Program *Homeschoolers may participate in CMOS's field trip programs with a minimum of 20 students.
