We understand how special birthdays
are for children and their parents and will do everything possible to make your
birthday celebration a joyful one.
Choose a morning or afternoon party
Monday through Saturday. Sunday afternoons are also available upon request.
A party includes up to 15 guests, in
addition to the birthday child and parents of all children. There should be at
least one adult present for each 5 children.
CMOS provides invitations, plates,
cups, napkins, cutlery, and decorations with streamers and balloons, unless you
choose to provide your own. There will be access to the kitchen, with stove,
sink, microwave, and refrigerator. The birthday cake and refreshments will be
provided by you. We will have the party room ready for you when you arrive.
Parties usually start with up to an hour and a half of free play in the
museum and courtyard,
concluding with about half an hour or more for the birthday celebration in The
Enchanted Kingdom.
To ensure that all your guests have an
enjoyable time, there are a few simple things you can do:
1.
Plan to arrive
at CMOS at least 15 minutes before the party is to begin.
2.
Adults will
want to be available in the areas of the museum where the children are playing
to monitor their activities and to make sure that they are safe. At least one
adult should be present for every 5 children where they are playing.
3.
Let the
children know when it is time for them to come to the party room.
4.
When it is
time to leave, make sure that each of your guests leaves with the responsible
parent or adult.
5.
Make sure that
all of your guests are picked up before you leave.
We will do everything we can to make this a wonderful birthday celebration!

Party reservations are held for 3
working days pending a deposit of $25.00. The balance will be paid at the time
of the party. If there are more than 15 guests, there will be a $5 charge for
each additional child.

child's party, call the Children's Museum at 256-765-0500 during regular museum
hours, Thursday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., or leave a voice message,
and we will return your call.

EVENTS*
Invite family and friends to celebrate important milestones—
birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, family reunions, bridal
and baby showers, and wedding receptions.
Or plan time together for youth and family groups in a place that
offers activities for the young and the young at heart.
We understand how important being together to celebrate important life events
is. We will do everything possible to make your celebration a joyful one.
Choose a morning or early or late afternoon party Monday through Saturday.
Sunday afternoons are a favorite, as the museum can be reserved exclusively for
you and your guests. Family, children, and youth group parties can also be
scheduled for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evenings.
A party includes up to 25 guests. For larger groups, there will be a $5 charge
for each additional person. The museum occupancy limit for inside events is 60
persons.
CMOS provides invitations, plates, cups, napkins, cutlery, and decorations with

beverages will be provided by you. We will have the party room ready for you
when you arrive and help with the clean up when you leave.

Other events can be scheduled as desired, with refreshments served in “The

for rental for the courtyard.
Please
note that no alcohol is served on the premises. We are also a non-smoking
facility.
In addition to the regular exhibits, the museum staff will offer one or more
craft activities and, by request, games and other activities for young guests
and families.
