What’s going on in September at the Children’s Museum of the Shoals?

It’s back-to-school time, but it still feels like summer at the museum. Come hang out and take a little break from school. There are fun things to do and kids to play with!

Wednesday, September 1 - Play Day for Toddlers and Pre-Ks.

Art, story time, music and movement, and free play. Ages 18 months – 3 years. 10:00 - 11:30 am

Saturday, September 4 - Word Play Day.

Letter Learning Day-Chika Chika Boom Boom! Make letter crafts and books. 2-5 years. All day.

Saturday, September 4 - UNA Pre-Game Activities.

Do face painting , make posters and get ready for the first UNA home game! 3:30 - 5:50 pm

Saturday, September 11 - Native American Celebration Day.

In honor of Oka Kapassa. Learn about Native American life and culture in the Tennessee Valley through art, artifacts, and stories from the past. 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Saturday, September 18 - Native American Celebration Day.

In honor of the Trail of Tears. Learn about Native American life and culture in the Tennessee Valley through art, artifacts, and stories from the past. 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Saturday, September 18 - UNA Pre-Game Activities.

Do face-painting, make posters, and get ready for the UNA home game! 3:30 - 5:30 pm

Friday, September 24 - After School Picnic.

Enjoy delicious after-school snacks under the trees, hang out in the courtyard, do art activities, and explore the museum.  3:30 - 5:00 pm. All Ages

Saturday, September 25     Lazy Day in the Museum.

Come play in your P.J.s! Fun art, Stuffee, stories, and free play in the museum and courtyard. 10:00 am until......  Ages 2-12.
